slowUp Bodensee – the car-free adventure days in Switzerland

It has always been a great concern of the municipality of Triesenberg that also holiday and excursion guests with an impairment in the mountain region around Malbun can feel comfortable. In collaboration with the Swiss Foundation for the Cerebral Paralyzed Child and the company JST, she is now taking a big step forward in this direction. Because on the occasion of the 14th Malbuner SummerChilbi last Saturday, July 28, a novel offer for families with a disabled family member was presented. Two off-road wheelchairs made by JST-Mountain-Drive will be available to those affected in the future directly at Schlucher-Treff at the entrance to the village for rent. The two wheelchairs cope even bumpy gravel paths and steep stretches without problems and thus enable people with physical impairments carefree excursions in the beautiful mountain scenery around Malbun. Interested families will also receive information on suitable routes that can be driven with the JST wheelchair. The two wheelchairs were funded by the hand in hand institution. Numerous onlookers took advantage of the Malbuner Chilbi to try out the two new wheelchairs on an obstacle course and to test how well they can cope with difficult mountain terrain. Although the tracks around the Schlucher-Treff on Saturday were rather soggy due to thunderstorms, the two wheelchairs passed their first test with flying colors and caused a great deal of wonder and enthusiasm. Even Christoph Beck, head of the community Triesenberg, did not miss the opportunity to make a lap in the new wheelchair. He was also very satisfied with the new offer: “In our community we attach great importance to accessibility for people with a disability. The two new wheelchairs are really amazing off-road and make sure that the area around Malbun is more accessible. “Community Triesenberg Franz Gassner Secretary Public Relations / Informatics / Culture Landstrasse 4, LI-9497 Triesenberg Phone +423 265 50 39 franz.gassner @
